HAULERS · VERSION 2026-09-26

Hauler Service Agreement

Effective September 26, 2026

This Agreement supplements the Pickupz Terms and applies whenever you onboard, go online, accept, or perform services as a hauler.

Independent business. You provide hauling services as an independent contractor and not as an employee, worker, agent, partner, franchisee, or representative of Pickupz. You control whether, when, and where to go online and which offers to accept, subject to this Agreement and law.

1. Eligibility and verification

You must be 18 or older, hold a valid licence for the vehicle, be legally entitled to work and provide hauling services, be within a supported launch area, redeem a valid invite when required, and complete identity, document, vehicle, insurance, payment, and other screening required for the service. Information must be accurate and kept current. You authorize verification under the separate Identity Verification Consent.

2. Vehicle, insurance, and compliance

You are responsible for a safe, properly registered and maintained vehicle whose class, box length, payload, securement equipment, and condition match your profile and accepted jobs. You must maintain all insurance reasonably required for the services and location, including any commercial, delivery, or carriage endorsement required by your insurer. Pickupz does not provide automobile, cargo, general-liability, workers’ compensation, or income-replacement insurance unless explicitly stated in writing.

You are responsible for licences, permits, inspections, municipal rules, traffic law, load securement, environmental and waste rules, occupational health and safety obligations, tax registrations, and any worker or helper you engage. Upload renewed documents before expiry. If a required licence or policy expires, you may access your account to replace it but may not go online or accept work.

3. Offers and performance

Offers show available information such as pickup area, route, service type, required truck, load, and expected earnings. You are free to decline. Acceptance creates a commitment to travel safely, communicate reasonably, arrive at the correct place, verify the load, and complete the agreed service professionally. Do not accept work you cannot lawfully or safely perform.

Arrival and completion must be recorded only when true and may be proximity-gated. Keep the app’s location permission active during the job so the customer can track progress and Pickupz can provide navigation, safety, support, and payment evidence. Do not manipulate location or status. Trip stacking is available only when Pickupz eligibility criteria are met and must not impair either service.

4. Safety and refusal

Inspect the job and load. You may refuse or stop an unsafe, illegal, prohibited, overloaded, materially misdescribed, or inaccessible service and should contact support. Never transport prohibited items, exceed vehicle limits, use a phone unlawfully while driving, or drive impaired or dangerously fatigued. Follow the Community & Safety Standards.

5. Earnings and payouts

Pickupz collects customer payment as limited payment collection agent for the transaction and remits hauler earnings through a Stripe connected account. Unless a different rate is displayed and accepted, Pickupz retains a 22% platform fee from the eligible hauling service amount. Landfill disposal amounts, taxes collected for another party, refunds, chargebacks, back-charges, and separately identified third-party costs are excluded from hauler earnings or adjusted as applicable.

You are responsible for Stripe onboarding, accurate banking details, and resolving account requirements. Payout timing is not guaranteed and may be delayed for processor review, fraud, dispute, legal process, reserve, or incorrect information. Pickupz will provide available earnings records. You are solely responsible for your business expenses and taxes.

6. Cancellations, adjustments, and disputes

Cancel only for a genuine operational, safety, or emergency reason and notify the customer through the app. Repeated avoidable cancellation, no-show, lateness, or off-platform diversion may affect access. Submit added-time, load, disposal, damage, or customer-conduct concerns with evidence through support. Do not pressure a customer for cash or an undisclosed charge.

7. Customer information and communications

Use customer names, addresses, messages, images, and location only to perform the booking, address safety, or work with support. Do not retain, publish, sell, solicit, or use it for unrelated work. Keep communications professional and use in-app chat when practical. Transactional push and time-sensitive arrival alerts are core service communications.

8. Ratings and quality

Pickupz may use ratings, completion, cancellations, safety reports, response, document status, and verified incidents to operate the marketplace and determine access to features. No single low rating automatically proves misconduct. Pickupz may review context and provide an appeal or correction path where appropriate.

9. Independent contractor relationship

You operate an independently established activity, may provide services elsewhere, choose your working time and offers, and supply your vehicle, fuel, phone, data, maintenance, tools, and methods. You have no authority to bind Pickupz. Nothing creates employment, benefits, minimum hours, exclusivity, or reimbursement. If applicable law determines a different status, rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.

10. Suspension and termination

You or Pickupz may end this Agreement. Pickupz may immediately restrict access for expired documents, identity concerns, safety risk, fraud, payment risk, account sharing, serious complaints, unlawful activity, or material breach. Where appropriate, the app or support will explain the reason and update path. Outstanding bookings, investigations, payments, refunds, and obligations survive termination.

11. Liability, indemnity, and governing terms

The disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law, and dispute provisions in the Pickupz Terms apply. Without limiting those Terms, you are responsible for claims arising from your vehicle, helpers, service performance, legal non-compliance, taxes, or insurance gaps, except to the extent caused by Pickupz’s own negligence or wilful misconduct.

12. Updates

Material changes require a new in-app acceptance before you can continue as a hauler. Continuing as a customer alone does not accept a new hauler version.
